Pneumatic forklifts are generally known as pallet trucks or pump trucks and are commonly utilized in warehouses and delivery facilities to transport resources on pallets. Pneumatic lifts consist of a set of steel forks mounted on a wheeled counterweight that contains a pump. The pump is used to elevate and lower the blades.
Visually check the pallet truck before loading. Make sure the wheels are free of any likely obstacles. Moreover, make sure the handle moves easily and turns properly. Check the pallet before moving it to determine if it is stacked in a manner that minimizes the chance of anything falling off during lifting. Discharge any air in the pump and lower the forks to the floor by squeezing the handle mounted on the inside of the steel loop on the end of the lever. Run the blades into the slots in the pallet and make sure the blades are centered so that the palletsâ?? mass is evenly dispersed.
By pumping the pneumatic lift handle the forks will rise from the ground. Once there is full clearance, you can stop pumping as there is no need to lift the jack anymore. To move the pallet lift, you can pull the handle behind you. It is not recommended to push the pallet truck. There will be a large amount of momentum existing. Avoid quick or sharp turns and do not stop too suddenly. Gently bring the pallet to a stop where you would like to park it. Squeeze the lever within the grip end to restore the forks to the ground. Withdraw the forks and return the pallet lift to a proper parking area or continue onto the next undertaking.
